    The hotel’s historic main building dates back to 1851 and enjoys an idyllic setting surrounded by fjords and mountains. Today, Fjordslottet combines its historic character with comfortable accommodation and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

    The hotel is known for good food and uses quality ingredients, including produce from local suppliers. Start the day with a generous breakfast before heading outdoors, and return in the evening to enjoy dinner in the hotel’s charming restaurant. On warm days, the garden is a lovely place to relax with a drink.

    Osterøy offers excellent opportunities for hiking and outdoor adventures. Just a short drive from the hotel you can explore Kossdalssvingane, a historic road with 17 dramatic hairpin bends through the narrow Kossdalen valley. The walk is approximately 6 km return and is suitable for most hikers.

    For a more challenging mountain adventure, head further across the island to Bruviknipa (822 m). The trail includes impressive stone steps built by Sherpas and leads to spectacular views over the surrounding fjords and mountains.

    With mountains, fjords and hiking trails within easy reach, Fjordslottet Hotel is a great base for an active stay on Osterøy – and a peaceful place to relax after a day outdoors.
